What types of events can HAROLD’S CHICKEN #62 cater?
We cater all types of private events, including weddings. We also cater Corporate events, Employee Appreciation parties, birthdays, private parties, city festivals, breweries, wineries, music festivals, sporting events and charity events. Speak to a Catering Manager for maximum hours of service.
How many hours does HAROLD’S CHICKEN #62 serve food during a private event?
Two hours maximum based on food and safety sanitation regulations. However, HAROLD’S CHICKEN #62 will be present at an event for a total of 3-4 hours (set up, service, and clean up). HAROLD’S CHICKEN #62 may serve longer contingent upon the menu selected.
How far does the food truck travel? What is the travel fee and how is it determined?
Presently HAROLD’S CHICKEN #62 is servicing the Chicago-land area! Mileage is included in the service charge up to a 30 mile radius of area code 60605. Any events that are located 30 – 60 miles from area code 60605 will be charged an additional $50 service charge. HAROLD’S CHICKEN #62 cannot travel more than 60 miles.
Do I need to provide a permit for HAROLD’S CHICKEN #62 to cater my event?
The event must be held on private property and parking for the truck must be provided to avoid a permit. Please ask your Catering Manager for more details. Harold’s Chicken #62 will acquire all permits needed for public events.
What does HAROLD’S CHICKEN #62 need the day of the event to operate?
Parking must allow for clearance of the following dimensions: 28 FT LONG X 14 FT WIDE X 15FT. TALL. Clients must verify that we are allowed to park at the event location site. The truck cannot park on the street. We may also request an electrical connection (120V connection) as back up but also has a generator. HAROLD’S CHICKEN #62 is not responsible for any stains to pavement caused by the food truck equipment. HAROLD’S CHICKEN #62 is also not responsible for any damage to landscaping when entering or exiting parking space.
I have filled out the Inquire Form online; does this mean I have booked the event?
No. Once you have filled out an Inquire Form, a Catering Manager will contact you to review your request. To secure catering for your event, you will need to sign a catering contract and pay the $350.00 non-refundable deposit. This is the truck rental fee.
Do you require a minimum order?
Each private event will require the $350 truck rental and a customized Food and Beverage minimum based on the number of anticipated guests and menu selection. On Saturdays between May and August there is a $1,000 food and beverage minimum not including the $350 rental fee due to the high demand. A private event means that HAROLD’S CHICKEN #62 cannot and will not serve to the public.
What time frame can you accommodate for service?
Brunch and lunch time frames need to conclude by 3 pm. Dinner time frame can begin after 5 pm. "Harold’s Chicken #62 Wedding Guests" menu can begin after 9:30 pm. All time frame are pending availability and travel times.
Does HAROLD’S CHICKEN #62 accept special menu requests?
We try to accommodate all special menu requests regarding allergies and dietary restrictions. HAROLD’S CHICKEN #62 will also strive to accommodate all menu requests based on traditions, theme of party, and personal preferences. Please ask your catering manager for guidelines and restrictions. Special requests will be priced differently.
Do we need to provide our own trash cans, plates, utensils and napkins?
HAROLD’S CHICKEN #62 will provide the utensils, napkins, and food containers. Beverages will be served in a can or bottle. HAROLD’S CHICKEN #62 does not provide cups or straws. The client is responsible for setting up trash cans for the guests to dispose of trash and is responsible for trash removal caused by guests. HAROLD’S CHICKEN #62 will dispose of the truck’s waste including: oil, plastic wraps, left-over food, water held in truck, etc. We also provide a menu board.
Is a Deposit required?
We require a $350.00 non-refundable deposit to secure the food truck upon signing the contract via credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover), cashier’s check or cash. HAROLD’S CHICKEN #62 cannot accept personal checks. This is the truck rental fee and is separate from the food cost per person.
When is the total amount due?
The deposit is due upon return of the signed contact. Your total food and beverage minimum is due 7 days prior to event via credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover), cashier’s check or cash. HAROLD’S CHICKEN #62 cannot accept personal checks. The remaining amount is due by cash or credit card on the day of your event prior to the service start time.
What is the Event Cancellation Policy?
The $350.00 deposit is non-refundable. If the truck is cancelled at least 8 days prior to service, no additional fees are due. If the truck is cancelled within 0-7 days prior to service, the contracted food and beverage minimum is due. Food truck will operate rain, snow, or shine
Can the truck serve my own food?
No. Due to safety and sanitation regulations, the only food that can be served from the food truck is food prepared by HAROLD’S CHICKEN #62 or food from a caterer who is certified in food safety and has prepared the food in an approved commissary.
What method of payment do you take?
HAROLD’S CHICKEN #62 can accept credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover), cashier’s check or cash. HAROLD’S CHICKEN #62 cannot accept personal checks.
When do I need to pick my menu?
Menu needs to be chosen 14 days in advance. If contract is signed within 14 days prior to event date, a menu will need to be chosen upon the return of the signed contract and at least 7 days prior to event.
Do the guests need to select their menu choice in advance?
No. The food truck will prepare 5% over the final guaranteed number of guests paid. HAROLD’S CHICKEN #62 will track the amount. It may be a good idea to increase your count by a few guests if you anticipate last minute guests or guests wanting seconds. HAROLD’S CHICKEN #62 will not deny a guest a second service unless instructed by the client. All extra entrees purchased are non-refundable if they are unused.
